Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Faculty member to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to teaching and learning in higher education, with a focus on fostering student engagement and success. This role involves developing and delivering curriculum, utilizing learning management systems (LMS), and mentoring students in their academic journeys. The Faculty member will contribute to the academic community through research, instructional design, and effective classroom management. Duties Develop and implement engaging curriculum that meets the needs of diverse learners. Utilize learning technologies, including Blackboard, to enhance the educational experience. Conduct research relevant to the field and contribute to academic scholarship. Provide instruction in higher education settings, ensuring clarity and effectiveness in teaching methods. Manage classroom dynamics effectively to create a positive learning environment. Mentor students through academic advising and support their educational goals. Design lesson plans that align with course objectives and student outcomes. Facilitate adult education courses, adapting teaching strategies for adult learners. Collaborate with colleagues on instructional design initiatives to improve course offerings. Maintain an inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages participation from all students. Qualifications Proven experience in teaching at the university level or in higher education settings. Strong background in curriculum development and instructional design. Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS), particularly Blackboard. Experience working with students in various capacities, including mentoring and academic advising. Excellent classroom management skills with a focus on fostering student engagement. Ability to conduct research and contribute to scholarly activities within the discipline. Demonstrated experience in lesson planning and adapting materials for diverse learning needs. Commitment to continuous professional development in teaching methodologies and educational technologies.
