Role & responsibilities Conduct Phase I & Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) to identify potential contamination and environmental liabilities for property acquisitions. Perform soil, groundwater, and air quality assessments, including sampling, data interpretation, and risk evaluation. Support real estate developers in site selection analysis, evaluating environmental constraints, flood risk, wetlands, ecological sensitivity, and zoning restrictions. Prepare and manage environmental impact assessments (EIA/EIS), including mitigation strategies and stakeholder consultation. Coordinate with environmental consultants, geotechnical teams, architects, and civil engineers to integrate environmental requirements into development plans. Obtain and manage permits for land development, stormwater, wastewater, wetlands, air emissions, and construction activities. Develop remediation plans for contaminated sites, oversee cleanup activities, and ensure regulatory compliance. Conduct environmental risk assessments and provide recommendations to support acquisition, planning, and investment decisions. Support sustainability initiatives such as energy-efficient design, waste management plans, LEED/BREEAM certification, and green infrastructure. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations throughout planning, construction, and operation phases. Prepare detailed technical reports, environmental management plans, and documentation for regulatory authorities and investors. Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to environmental management and safety guidelines.
