Role Overview We're seeking an experienced Head of Finance to join our leadership team and drive the financial strategy of our growing gaming studio. This is a strategic role that combines traditional financial management with the unique challenges of the gaming industry, investor relations, and fundraising activities. Moreover, it will also encompass strategy, investor relations, and business operations and act as a direct support to the Founder/CEO. Key Responsibilities Financial Management & Strategy Oversee all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk assessment Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and analysis Ensure compliance with Indian accounting standards and regulatory requirements Optimize financial processes and systems to support scalable growth Investor Relations & Fundraising Maintain relationships with existing investors and provide regular updates on company performance Pitch deck ownership, cap table management, and fundraising support Prepare investor presentations, financial models, and due diligence materials Lead fundraising initiatives and identify potential investors for future rounds Coordinate with legal and other advisors during fundraising processes Manage investor communication and reporting requirements Business Partnership & Strategic Planning Partner closely with the founder/CEO on strategic business decisions Provide financial insights to support game development and publishing decisions Analyse market opportunities and competitive landscape from a financial perspective Evaluate potential partnerships, or strategic alliances Team Leadership & Operations Build and lead the finance function as the company scales Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, marketing, and operations Implement financial tools and systems to support business operations Ensure accurate project costing and profitability analysis for game development cycles Required Qualifications Experience & Education 7-10 years of progressive finance experience, preferably in technology, gaming, or entertainment industries MBA Finance, or equivalent professional qualification Proven track record in fundraising and investor relations Experience with start-ups or high-growth companies preferred Technical Skills Strong financial modelling and analysis capabilities Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills and experience with financial planning tools Understanding of Indian taxation, compliance, and corporate law Knowledge of gaming industry business models and revenue streams (preferred) Core Competencies Strategic thinking with strong business acumen Excellent communication and presentation skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic start-up environment Strong leadership and team-building capabilities Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Experience managing relationships with investors, auditors, and advisors What We Offer Competitive salary commensurate with experience alongside ESOP Equity participation in a growing gaming studio Opportunity to shape the financial strategy of an innovative company Direct collaboration with founder/CEO and leadership team Flexible work arrangements and collaborative culture Professional development opportunities in the gaming industry
