Non-cad Designer Proposal

As a member of our team, your primary responsibility will be to utilize Aurora Solar or Roofr to create and modify design layouts for roofing and solar installation projects. You will be tasked with developing 2D and 3D CAD drawings based on information gathered from site surveys, satellite imagery, and client preferences. Your collaboration with the sales and engineering departments is crucial for optimizing designs to meet aesthetic, performance, and structural requirements. It will be your duty to maintain the accuracy of designs, ensuring that they comply with local building codes and regulations. Additionally, you will be responsible for updating project files, managing design revisions, and maintaining client records. Your contributions to improving design workflows and upholding CAD standards will be instrumental in our success. To excel in this role, you should possess at least 1 year of practical experience working with Aurora Solar and/or Roofr. Proficiency in AutoCAD or a similar CAD software would be advantageous. An understanding of residential/commercial roofing or solar design principles is essential. Your keen attention to detail, ability to visualize spatial layouts, and appreciation for aesthetics are qualities that we value. You must also demonstrate proficiency in interpreting blueprints, architectural drawings, and site plans. Effective communication skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment are key to your success in this role. If you have knowledge of the NEC code (specifically for solar projects) and are familiar with permitting and AHJ requirements, it would be considered a plus.
