Node.js Intern

Outmarch is a fast-growing retail startup searching for flexible go-getters who welcome the challenge of meeting the needs of a growing business. Your primary focus will be on developing and maintaining our backend infrastructure, including APIs, microservices, and databases. You will be responsible for ensuring that our backend systems are scalable, performant, and secure. You will also work closely with our front-end developers to ensure that our APIs are well-documented and easy to use.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using Node.js
• Build and maintain APIs using RESTful principles
• Develop and maintain microservices using microservice architectures
• Design and optimize database schemas
• Implement security measures to protect our backend systems
• Write well-documented code and maintain clear documentation
• Work closely with front-end developers to ensure a smooth integration between the backend and frontend
• Collaborate with other backend developers to share knowledge and solve problems

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related technical field
• Strong proficiency in Node.js, Express, and other relevant frameworks and libraries
• Experience with database technologies, such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB
• Experience with microservice architectures
• Experience with API development using RESTful principles
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
