NodeJS Developer

Role & responsibilities

• Focuses on server-side logic and integration of the work front-end developers do
• Designs, implements, and manages APIs used by front-end applications and other services.
• Designs, optimizes, and maintains databases that the server interacts with.
• Implements middleware to handle various aspects of server-side logic, such as authentication, data
• validation, and error handling.
• Ensures that the backend services are secure and adhere to security best practices and protocols.
• Write and maintain server-side code using Node.js.
• Implement scalable and efficient server-side logic.
• Develop RESTful or GraphQL APIs.
• Ensure seamless integration with front-end services and other systems.
• Design and manage relational and non-relational databases (e.g., pgAdmin, MongoDB).
• Write efficient database queries and manage database migrations and backups
• Implement security measures, such as data encryption, authentication, and authorization.
• Protect the application from common security threats, such as SQL injection, XSS, and CSRF.
• Monitor and improve server performance.
• Optimize code and database queries for speed and efficiency.
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Ensure code quality through code reviews and adherence to coding standards.
• Document server-side code, APIs, and database schemas.
• Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date technical documentation.
• Monitor server health and performance.
• Maintain and update server-side codebase and dependencies.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Computer Science/IT with 1+ years of industry experience
• Familiarity with JavaScript
• Strong knowledge of HTML and CSS
• In-depth knowledge of React.js and its fundamentals
• Knowledge of UI/UX designs and wireframes
• Hands-on experience with React tools like Webpack, Enzyme, React.js, Flux, and Redux
