Qualcomm India Private Limited is seeking a candidate to join the Engineering Group, specifically in the Hardware Engineering division. In this role, you will take ownership of a portion of the test bench, plan and execute feature additions and mode re-enablement on specific variants, address bug fixes, debug regression signatures, and develop/deploy new tools for performance validation. You will also be responsible for creating performance monitors and profilers, conducting workload-specific simulations on the emulator, and utilizing strong Python and C++ skills. To excel in this position, candidates must have experience in reading specs and developing test plans, as well as working with monitors, scoreboards, sequencers, and sequences that utilize scripts, System Verilog, UVM, and methodologies to enhance bug detection and resolution speed. Additionally, candidates should be comfortable checking builds, navigating complex test benches, analyzing coverage, and conducting extra debug activities. A keen willingness to investigate failures and understand underlying issues is essential for success in this role. Ideal candidates will have 6 months to 8 years of industry experience in digital design concepts, with knowledge of basic digital design principles such as FIFO. An understanding of DDR and interconnect protocols like AHB, AXI, ACE, and ACE-Lite is advantageous. Familiarity with multi-core ARMv8 CPU architecture, coherency protocols, and virtualization is also preferred. While the minimum requirement for this position is a Bachelor of Engineering degree, candidates with a Master of Engineering in Computer Science or Computer Engineering are preferred. Analytical skills, a debug-oriented mindset, and the ability to effectively discuss, investigate, compile, and present design and environment information are crucial for success in this role.
