Role Overview We are looking for a Frontend Engineer who will own the user experience of nirabalance.com and our web applications. You will design, build, and scale responsive, performant, and accessible interfaces that bring our health insights to life. You’ll work closely with designers, backend engineers, and product managers to deliver delightful, data-driven experiences — while ensuring the tech stack is robust, secure, and future-proof. Key Responsibilities • Develop and maintain responsive, accessible, and SEO-optimized web interfaces using React.js, Next.js, and TailwindCSS . • Collaborate with design and product teams to translate Figma/wireframes into production-ready code. • Integrate with backend APIs to display personalized wellness insights, dashboards, and caregiver workflows. • Ensure performance optimization (Lighthouse, Core Web Vitals, lazy loading, SSR/ISR). • Implement analytics, A/B testing hooks, and feature flags for data-driven iteration. • Maintain design system / component library for consistency across web and app. • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code (unit/integration testing). • Stay updated with emerging frontend technologies and suggest improvements. • Collaborate in agile sprints and contribute to code reviews and architecture discussions. Required Skills & Experience • 3–5 years of professional experience in frontend engineering. • Strong experience with React.js and Next.js (server-side rendering, static site generation, API routes). • Proficiency with TailwindCSS and modern CSS architecture. • Experience with TypeScript in production. • Knowledge of frontend performance optimization and web accessibility standards (WCAG). • Familiarity with REST APIs and GraphQL integrations. • Experience with state management (Redux, Zustand, Recoil, or equivalent). • Proficient in Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and modern build tools (Vite, Webpack or Vercel). • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills. Nice-to-Haves (Future-Proofing) • Experience with React Server Components and Next.js App Router. • Knowledge of Edge Functions, Serverless Architectures, and Vite optimizations . • Familiarity with design systems (Storybook, Radix, MaterialUI, Shadcn/UI). • Experience with data visualization libraries (Recharts, D3.js, or similar). • Understanding of progressive web apps (PWAs) and offline-first strategies. • Exposure to health/wellness platforms or handling sensitive data.
