Job Role & responsibilities : Plan and Schedule QC Activities: Develop and maintain QC schedules in alignment with the Purchase Order (PO) shipment deadlines. Ensure all quality control activities are strategically planned and executed to meet customer delivery timelines. Supplier Coordination & Follow-up: Coordinate with third-party vendors and suppliers to track production progress. Follow up diligently for First Piece Inspection (FPI) approvals and ensure quality checks are completed for bulk orders as per the required timelines. Daily Team Meetings & Issue Resolution: Conduct daily meetings with QC team members to review ongoing inspections, identify operational challenges, and implement timely solutions to maintain consistent product quality. Execution as per QC Specification Sheet: Arrange and supervise QC processes based on the approved QC specification sheets. Carefully study and review all details, including product specifications, measurement guidelines, plating standards, and stone settings before initiating inspections. Merchandiser Coordination: Liaise with the merchandising team whenever necessary to align on order priorities, changes in specifications, or any special client requirements that may impact QC. Reporting and Documentation: Ensure accurate and timely submission of QC reports as per company guidelines. Maintain all inspection records, observations, and compliance documentation in an organized and auditable format. Priority-Based Scheduling: Manage QC schedules by evaluating PO urgency, production readiness, and shipment deadlines. Prioritize QC tasks effectively to meet business commitments without compromising on quality. Coordination with the Data Team: Work closely with the data team to ensure timely submission of QC data and smooth operational flow. Verify that all relevant data is correctly captured in the QC documentation. Accuracy of QC Specification Data: Ensure that all data and specifications provided in the QC spec sheet are accurate and complete. Report discrepancies and coordinate necessary corrections with the responsible teams. Periodic Review of Team QC Specs: Review QC specification sheets prepared by team members to verify data integrity and accuracy. Provide guidance and feedback to maintain consistency and high standards across all QC documentation. Required Skills: Strong attention to detail and aesthetic judgment, particularly in fine Jewellery. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and guide QC teams effectively. Willingness and ability to travel frequently to vendor as needed. Proficiency in using quality control tools, inspection instruments. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and documentation.
