The General Manager – Sales & Marketing will lead and manage the sales and marketing functions for cable trays, earthing materials, and related electrical infrastructure products. This role demands strong technical knowledge of electrical hardware, excellent market understanding, strategic leadership, and the ability to drive revenue growth through business development and effective team management. Key Responsibilities: 1. Sales Strategy & Business Development Develop and implement national and international sales strategies for cable trays, earthing materials, and accessories. Identify and explore new markets, sectors, and business opportunities (infrastructure, power, oil & gas, data centers, commercial projects, etc.). Manage key client relationships, negotiate contracts, and close high-value deals. 2. Marketing & Brand Positioning Design and execute marketing plans and promotional campaigns to position the brand as a leader in the industry. Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and technical seminars. Drive digital marketing, product literature development, and other brand-building activities. 3. Product & Technical Oversight Ensure a deep understanding of product standards (IEC, IS, UL, BS), specifications, and applications. Work with the R&D / technical teams to recommend improvements or new product development based on market demand. 4. Team Leadership Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing sales and marketing team. Set KPIs and monitor team performance across regions. Conduct regular sales meetings, performance reviews, and training sessions. 5. Pricing, Forecasting & Reporting Develop pricing strategies based on market intelligence and competitor analysis. Provide monthly/quarterly forecasts and reports to the management. Monitor sales pipeline, order booking, and delivery coordination with production/logistics. Key Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering (preferred) MBA in Marketing or Business Management is a strong advantage Experience: 10–15 years of experience in sales & marketing, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role Proven experience in cable trays, earthing systems, or electrical installation materials industry Skills: Strong understanding of electrical infrastructure, project-based sales, and B2B/B2G selling Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills Proficiency in CRM, ERP, MS Office; knowledge of AutoCAD/SAP is a plus Knowledge of IS/IEC/IEEE standards related to cable management and earthing is essential Preferred Industry Experience: Electrical Hardware Manufacturing EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) companies Building Services / Infrastructure Projects OEM Sales for Electrical Materials
