You are looking to hire a Group Editor for Raipur location, who will report to the Editor-in-Chief / Managing Director. This is a full-time position with a CTC of 1.75-2.00 K PM along with car and home benefits. As a Group Editor, you will be responsible for leading the editorial strategy, content direction, and newsroom operations across broadcast and digital platforms. Your primary focus will be to maintain high journalistic standards, manage senior editorial teams, and produce credible, engaging, and impactful content. Your key responsibilities will include leading editorial teams across TV and digital platforms to ensure consistency in voice, quality, and integrity. You will drive the overall content strategy aligned with audience interests and brand vision, oversee news planning, content creation, and timely delivery of high-impact journalism. Additionally, you will manage senior editors, reporters, and producers while fostering a collaborative newsroom culture and ensuring compliance with legal, ethical, and regulatory standards. To excel in this role, you should have at least 15 years of editorial experience in leading media houses, preferably with exposure to both television and digital platforms. You must possess proven leadership skills in managing large, diverse editorial teams, a deep understanding of the media landscape, audience analytics, and storytelling across platforms. Strong editorial judgment, crisis decision-making ability, knowledge of media ethics, press laws, and regulatory compliance are essential qualities for this position. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are also crucial. Ideally, you should hold a degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or a related field (Masters preferred). Moreover, multilingual skills, experience in multilingual content production, leading election coverage, live debates, or investigative journalism projects, ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced newsroom environment, and a strong network of industry contacts and experts are preferred qualities.
