Job Description: HR Operations Specialist (Asst. As we scale, we are looking for a process-driven yet empathetic HR professional to ensure our people operations run smoothly and compliantly. Role Summary We are seeking a junior-to-mid-level HR professional to act as the "face" of HR for our employees and the "gatekeeper" for our compliance. You will handle day-to-day employee engagement, serve as the first point of contact (L1) for grievances, and ensure absolute rigor in our payroll and statutory compliance. Key Responsibilities Employee Connect & Engagement (The "Pulse") First Point of Contact: Act as the primary go-to person for employee queries regarding policies, leave, and general assistance. Onboarding & Offboarding: Manage the end-to-end joining formalities, induction sessions, and smooth exit processes (full and final settlements). Engagement Activities: Coordinate regular touchpoints, town halls, and cultural events to maintain high morale. Grievance Redressal (L1 Support) L1 Resolution: Handle initial employee complaints and grievances with empathy and confidentiality. Triage & Escalate: Resolve operational issues (e.g., leave disputes, policy clarification) immediately; document and escalate complex behavioural or harassment issues to leadership. HR & Payroll Compliance (The "Rulebook") Statutory Compliance: Ensure end-to-end compliance with labour laws, including PF (Provident Fund), ESIC, PT (Professional Tax), and Gratuity. Payroll Inputs: Prepare and validate monthly payroll data (attendance, LOP, overtime, variable pay) before processing. Audit Readiness: Maintain clean, audit-ready registers and documentation for all labor law requirements (Shops & Establishment Act, etc.). HR Operations & Data Hygiene HRIS Management: Maintain accurate employee records (digital and physical files) ensuring 100% data integrity. Policy Enforcement: Assist in drafting and enforcing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for attendance, remote work, and code of conduct. Candidate Profile Education: MBA/PGDM in HR (Preferred) or Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience. Experience: 4–8 years of experience in Generalist HR or HR Operations roles. Must have hands-on experience with Indian Statutory Compliance (PF/ESIC portals). Skills & Competencies: Technical: Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and familiarity with HRMS/Payroll software. Compliance Knowledge: Solid understanding of the Shops & Establishment Act and Minimum Wages Act. Soft Skills: High emotional intelligence, active listening, and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality. Mindset: Process-oriented with an eye for detail (crucial for payroll/compliance). Key Success Metrics (KPIs) Compliance Accuracy: 100% on-time filing of statutory returns (PF/ESI/PT). Payroll Accuracy: Zero errors in payroll input processing. Ticket Resolution: 90% of L1 grievances resolved within 48 hours. Employee Satisfaction: Positive feedback on onboarding and general HR support responsiveness.
