Job Description

Prepare patients for neurological tests and procedures by explaining the process, obtaining relevant medical history, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Perform neurological diagnostic tests and procedures under the supervision of neurologists or other healthcare providers. This may include electroencephalograms (EEG), electromyograms (EMG), nerve conduction studies (NCS), and evoked potentials (EP).
Set up and calibrate equipment used for neurological testing, ensuring accuracy and reliability of test results.
Apply electrodes to the patient's scalp, limbs, or other areas as required for EEG, EMG, or other tests, following standardized procedures and electrode placement guidelines.
Record and analyze electrical signals generated by the nervous system using specialized equipment, such as EEG machines and EMG recording devices.
Monitor patients during testing procedures to ensure their safety and comfort, and to capture any relevant physiological responses or abnormalities.
Document test results accurately in patients' medical records, including observations, findings, and any pertinent information related to the testing process.
