Role Overview: As a Network Testing Engineer at Capgemini, you will play a crucial role in validating and enhancing the reliability of embedded network systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the performance, scalability, and security of networking solutions across various platforms and devices. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with engineering teams to test and validate embedded software for network devices and operating systems. - Work extensively with Network Operating Systems (NOS) platforms such as SONiC, Junos, OpenWRT, and Cisco Router environments. - Perform testing and validation of L2/L3 network switches to ensure robust functionality and performance. - Develop and maintain Python-based test automation using tools like Pytest, Robot Framework, and Selenium. - Debug serial logs and system outputs to identify root causes and efficiently resolve issues. - Interpret product requirements and translate them into comprehensive test scripts and validation plans. - Contribute to software reliability evaluation, performance assessment, and system-level improvements. - Apply system administration knowledge across Linux/Unix environments and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP. - Ensure thorough system-level testing and troubleshooting to maintain optimal network performance. Qualifications Required: - Engineer with 4-12+ years of progressive experience in software testing for embedded systems. - Hands-on expertise in Network Operating Systems (NOS) such as SONiC, Junos, OpenWRT, and Cisco Router platforms. - Strong understanding of L2/L3 network switch architecture and functionality. - Proficiency in Python test automation using Pytest, Robot Framework, and Selenium. - Skilled in serial log debugging with the ability to identify root causes and resolve system-level issues. - Experience in interpreting product requirements and writing effective test scripts for validation. - Proven track record in software reliability evaluation, performance assessment, and system confidence improvement. - Solid knowledge of system administration in Linux/Unix environments and cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and GCP. - System-level expertise in debugging and troubleshooting to ensure optimal network performance.
