Job Title: Network Security Engineer (Global Extranet Delivery)

Location: Chennai

Work Type: 4 Days WFO

Experience Required: 10+ years in IT

Position Description:

Responsibilities:

• Design, install, configure, and deploy Extranet network and security solutions
• Lead migration efforts from Cisco to Palo Alto firewalls
• Perform firewall, router, and Nexus switch code upgrades
• Partner with technical teams to build robust and scalable network designs
• Provide 3rd-level troubleshooting, outage management, and technical support
• Review, validate, and approve change controls
• Deliver consulting services to customers to develop tailored network solutions
• Develop automation and scripting to optimize deployments and operations
• Recommend improvements to enhance performance, security, and reliability
• Provide technical training to Service Desk, Operations, and other stakeholders
• Participate in after-hours, weekend, and holiday support as required

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Network Security and Firewall operations
• Strong background in Network Engineering and Network Security, especially in Cisco environments

Palo Alto Networks

• Firewalls: 3400, 3800, 5200, 5400 series
• Panorama
• Prisma Access / Strata Cloud Manager
• Expertise in setup, configuration, management, troubleshooting, scripting, and upgrades

Cisco Systems

• Firewalls: Firepower (2100, 3100, 4100, 9300), Meraki MX67/MX68, ASA, FTD
• Management Platforms: Cisco Security Manager, Firepower Management Center, Meraki Console
• Routers/Switches: ISR1100, ASR100x, C8500, Nexus 9300/9500
• Skilled in setup, configuration, troubleshooting, management, and upgrades

Additional Skills

• Strong automation and scripting capabilities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse global teams
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong attention to detail and adaptability
