Network Security Engineer - Fortigate Firewall

As a skilled Fortinet Network Security Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and securing our network infrastructure using Fortinet products, with a focus on FortiGate firewalls. Your primary duties will include configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting network security devices to ensure the integrity, availability, and confidentiality of our data. Your key responsibilities will involve configuring, deploying, and managing FortiGate firewalls and other Fortinet security products. You will design and implement network security policies, strategies, and procedures, and monitor network traffic for unusual activity, responding promptly to security incidents. Additionally, you will configure VPNs (SSL and IPsec) for secure remote access, collaborate with other IT teams to troubleshoot network issues, and ensure compliance with security standards by regularly updating and patching Fortinet devices. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. You must have proven experience working with Fortinet products, particularly FortiGate firewalls, and a strong understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols. Experience with VPNs, IDS/IPS, and firewall policies is essential, and possession of Fortinet NSE certification (NSE 4 or above) is preferred. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks, are also required.
