Interpret design requirements and specifications as it relates to simulation load cases. Build simulation models using a variety of CAE software, including meshed models for metal and plastic components. Verify models meet quality parameters specified by internal and external customers. Create and verify CAE material models. Setup simple static, quasi-static, and dynamic analysis using LS-Dyna, PAMCRASH, ABAQUS, RADIOSS, or Optistruct (Pull/Push, 3 pt. bending). Analyze and interpret simulation results. Work within the Shape core manufacturing processes, vehicle design packaging, GD&T, DFMEA, product performance knowledge and CAD software methodologies. Communicate and explain results to technical audiences including internal and external customers.
