.NET Developer - Windows Applications for Retail Operations

As an experienced .NET Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Windows desktop applications using .NET Framework/.NET 6+. Your focus will be on building intuitive user interfaces with WPF, WinForms, or modern UI frameworks, as well as developing offline-capable applications with local data storage and synchronization. You will also be tasked with implementing features such as barcode scanning, receipt printing, and hardware integration to optimize performance in high-transaction environments. Your role will involve collaborating with product managers and stakeholders to understand business requirements, as well as maintaining and enhancing existing Windows applications. It will be essential to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, participate in code reviews, and follow development best practices throughout the process. To excel in this role, you should have at least 3 years of experience in .NET development, including proficiency in C#, .NET Framework/.NET Core/.NET 6+. Additionally, you should have proven experience in developing Windows applications for retail or food & beverage operations. Strong skills in WPF, WinForms, or MAUI for desktop application development, along with knowledge of database integration, REST APIs, web services, and hardware integration, will be crucial. Preferred qualifications include experience with Windows Service development, cloud platforms like Azure and AWS, DevOps practices, and familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies. Technical proficiency in programming languages such as C# and VB.NET, frameworks like .NET Framework, .NET Core/.NET 6+, and tools like Visual Studio and Azure DevOps/GitHub will be expected. Your industry experience should cover retail applications (POS systems, inventory management), food & beverage (restaurant management systems, order management), and commercial operations (multi-location synchronization, reporting dashboards).
