Description
As an experienced senior software engineer at Verisk, your role involves designing and building high-performance and scalable solutions and components using cutting-edge technologies in AWS Cloud. Your responsibilities will include: - Developing commercial-grade software products using JavaScript frameworks, Python, and AWS technologies such as Redshift, Aurora, and Glue - Utilizing AWS services and infrastructure for deploying and managing applications - Supporting applications using .NET Core, C#/Java, and Python - Collaborating with stakeholders, especially Product Management, on feature requirements and project schedules - Contributing to the Agile processes and best practices - Keeping up to date with the latest technologies and trends - Creating use cases for business requirements - Demonstrating excellent listening, written, and verbal communication skills - Bringing enthusiasm, energy, creativity, and strong problem-solving skills to the team - Adhering to established architecture, design, quality standards, and delivery schedules Qualifications required for this role include: - B.S. in Math, EE, CS, or Software Engineering; M.S preferred - 5+ years of hands-on experience in developing commercial-grade software products - 3+ years of experience with AWS technologies such as AWS Lambda, AWS Glue, and S3 - 3+ years of proven experience in developing and supporting applications using .NET Core, C#/Java, and Python - Experience with Angular/React is a plus - Strong understanding of Agile processes and best practices Verisk, a leading data analytics and technology partner to the global insurance industry, values inclusivity, diversity, and workplace culture.
