Job Summary:We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Fabric Assistant Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a Textile Graduate with 3 to 4 years of experience, specifically with technical knowledge in fabric sourcing, procurement, and quality control. The Fabric Assistant Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely procurement of quality fabrics and materials required for production.Key Responsibilities:Fabric Sourcing & Procurement:Assist in sourcing and purchasing fabric based on production requirements.Negotiate with vendors and suppliers for the best prices, quality, and delivery schedules.Manage fabric inventory and ensure stock levels are maintained according to production schedules.Technical Fabric Knowledge:Utilize strong technical knowledge of textiles to assess fabric quality, composition, and suitability for different products.Conduct fabric testing and quality checks to ensure compliance with required specifications.Vendor Relationship Management:Establish and maintain good relationships with fabric suppliers and manufacturers.Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues related to quality or supply delays.Cost & Budget Control:Assist in managing the budget for fabric procurement and ensure cost-effective purchasing.Track and monitor fabric consumption to optimize the purchase process.Collaboration with Internal Teams:Work closely with the design, production, and quality control teams to ensure fabric meets all requirements and standards.Provide technical support to the production team regarding fabric performance and handling.Market Trends & Research:Stay updated with the latest trends in fabric technology, market prices, and new fabric innovations.Recommend improvements and new fabric sources to enhance production capabilities.Key Skills & Qualifications:Education:Bachelors Degree in Textile Engineering, Textile Technology, or related field.Experience:3 to 4 years of experience in fabric sourcing and procurement.Practical knowledge in sourcing, buying, and managing fabrics.Technical Skills:In-depth understanding of fabric types, composition, and production processes.Familiarity with fabric testing procedures and quality control standards.Knowledge of textile industry standards, trends, and innovations.Communication & Negotiation:Strong negotiation and communication skills to manage vendor relationships effectively.Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and suppliers.Computer Skills:Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.) and experience with procurement software or ERP systems.Personal Attributes:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Attention to detail and a proactive approach to fabric procurement challenges.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Strong organizational and time management skills.Additional Information:Competitive salary and benefits package.Opportunity for professional development and growth within the company.Dynamic and collaborative work environment.Role & responsibilities Preferred candidate profile Perks and benefits
