Job Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically skilled Costing and Estimation Engineer to join our Engineering / Design & Estimation department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate, competitive quotations for electrical and industrial product requirements by analyzing customer specifications, coordinating with internal teams, and ensuring both technical and commercial feasibility. This role also includes support in AutoCAD 2D drafting and continuous cost analysis for optimized project proposals. Key Responsibilities: ▪ Analyze client inquiries, drawings, ad technical specifications to prepare cost-effective quotations. ▪ Prepare and update costing sheets factoring in raw materials, components, labor, and overheads. ▪ Coordinate with purchase and production teams to validate cost inputs and material availability. ▪ Support the sales team with timely quote submissions and provide technical clarifications. ▪ Attend client meetings to present technical solutions, clarify requirements, and support deal closures. ▪ Follow up on quotations submitted and assist in revisions or price negotiations as needed. ▪ Create and modify GA (General Arrangement) and SLD (Single Line Diagrams) using AutoCAD 2D. ▪ Maintain a well-organized repository of technical documents, drawings, and approved offers. ▪ Collaborate with production, design, and store teams to ensure estimation accuracy. ▪ Participate in design reviews and cost optimization discussions. ▪ Review material prices regularly and update costing templates for accuracy. ▪ Suggest cost-effective alternatives without compromising on quality or compliance. ▪ Liaise with suppliers to gather pricing inputs and validate technical specs. ▪ Request and compare quotations for outsourced parts or services as required.
