Role Description This is a full-time leadership role for the State Head position at Nation Now Samachar , based in Uttar Pradesh, India . The State Head will oversee all state-level news operations, ensuring consistent coordination between district bureaus, mandal heads, and field reporters. The role involves supervising editorial workflows, validating news inputs, managing breaking coverage, and ensuring adherence to organizational ethics and content policies. The State Head will serve as the primary link between state-level operations and national management, reporting key developments, monitoring performance metrics, and implementing strategies to enhance news quality, credibility, and reach. Key responsibilities include: Leading, mentoring, and supervising district and bureau teams. Planning and executing editorial strategies for state-level stories. Ensuring factual accuracy, editorial balance, and timely content delivery. Coordinating with technical, production, and digital teams for coverage and broadcast alignment. Representing the organization in external and media events at the state level. Maintaining compliance with organizational, ethical, and legal standards. Qualifications Proven leadership and team management experience in a news or media organization. Minimum 5–7 years of experience in journalism, broadcast, or digital media. Strong understanding of state-specific socio-political and cultural dynamics . Excellent editorial judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle breaking news situations and meet strict deadlines. Proficiency in Hindi and English; knowledge of regional dialects preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or Media Studies ; Master’s preferred. Experience managing a state bureau or leading multiple news teams is an advantage.
