Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Sales Executive / Assistant Manager located in Chennai. The Senior Sales Executive / Assistant Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships, managing sales operations, and generating leads. The role includes identifying market opportunities, conducting sales presentations, negotiating contracts, and achieving sales targets. This position also involves coordinating with the production team to ensure customer requirements are met and providing after-sales support. Responsibilities Spearhead New Business Development initiatives, identifying and securing opportunities with both existing and prospective clients. Prepare accurate quotations and effectively negotiate pricing and commercial terms. Contribute to the preparation of the annual sales budget, long-term strategic planning, and perform insightful data analysis. Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of customer technical/commercial requirements, market trends, vehicle/purchasing strategies, and competitor activities. Build and enhance strong, long-lasting customer relationships through regular visits and proactive communication. Monitor competitor activities and support product benchmarking efforts. Manage the Request for Quotation (RFQ) process efficiently, from initiation to final submission. Verify and report weekly/monthly sales forecasts to the management team. Serve as a key point of contact, capably resolving queries for multiple key customers. Qualifications and Experience: Education : Bachelor's degree in any discipline. Experience : Minimum of 3 years of B2B sales experience, specifically within the Automotive or Mechanical or Machinery industry. Language: English and Hindi Language (Speak) will be high Advantage. Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of the Automotive/Mechanical/Machinery industry landscape. Skills: Proven track record in New Business Development. Strong commercial negotiation skills. Excellent calculation abilities (pricing, forecasting, sales trend analysis). Proficiency in quotation preparation and RFQ management. Ability to analyze data and contribute to strategic planning. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer relationship management.
