Job Summary The Project Engineer (Civil) supports the planning, coordination, and execution of civil engineering works for assigned projects. The role ensures that design specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements are met throughout project execution. Key Responsibilities 1. Planning & Coordination Assist in developing project schedules, work breakdown structures, and material/resource plans. Coordinate with design teams, consultants, subcontractors, and site teams. Review project drawings and identify discrepancies or design conflicts. 2. Site Execution & Supervision Oversee daily civil works (excavation, concreting, formwork, reinforcement, masonry, finishing etc.). Ensure work complies with approved IFC drawings, specifications, and relevant codes. Monitor progress and ensure timely completion of activities as per schedule. Supervise subcontractors and resolve site-related technical issues. 3. Quality Control Conduct site inspections, quality checks, and material testing. Prepare and maintain QA/QC documents (ITPs, checklists, inspection requests). Ensure corrective actions for NCRs and maintain quality standards. 4. Technical Documentation Prepare method statements, shop drawings, and as-built documentation. Maintain daily site reports, progress logs, and material tracking. Assist procurement with BOQs, material submittals, and vendor evaluations. 5. Health, Safety & Compliance Ensure site adherence to HSE procedures and legal regulations. Participate in toolbox talks and risk assessments. Report unsafe activities and support safety audits. 6. Stakeholder Interaction Coordinate with clients, consultants, and authorities for inspections and approvals. Attend project review meetings and present progress updates. Qualifications Education Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Experience 5–15 years of experience in civil construction projects (adjustable as needed). Technical Skills Strong knowledge of civil engineering standards, codes, and construction techniques. Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project/Primavera, and engineering calculation tools. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Soft Skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
