Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Gastroenterologist to join our private hospital’s multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will specialize in diagnosing and performing surgical procedures on the gastrointestinal system, including the stomach, liver, pancreas, intestines, and related organs. This role demands exceptional surgical expertise, patient-centered care, and collaboration with other medical professionals. Key Responsibilities • Perform advanced surgical procedures on the gastrointestinal tract using both invasive and minimally invasive techniques. • Diagnose and manage complex gastrointestinal disorders, Hepato biliary and GI cancers, obstructions, perforations, and chronic conditions. • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans. • Monitor post-operative recovery and ensure patient safety. • Stay updated with advancements in surgical gastroenterology and adopt innovative techniques. • Educate patients and their families about conditions, treatments, and preventive care. • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with hospital protocols. To take responsibility as a team member for the newly planned Robotic surgery service. Qualifications • MBBS degree followed by MS/DNB in General Surgery. • M.Ch. in Surgical Gastroenterology or equivalent specialized training. • Valid medical license to practice in India. • Minimum of 5 years of experience in gastrointestinal surgery. • Proficiency in laparoscopic and robotic surgeries is preferred. Skills • Expertise in advanced surgical techniques for hepatobiliary, pancreatic, colorectal, and bariatric surgeries. • Diagnostic endoscopy skills. • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction. • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
