Role Overview:

The MYP Mathematics Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality mathematics instruction in alignment with the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP). The role focuses on developing students’ analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills through inquiry-based, concept-driven learning in a multicultural environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons in accordance with the IB MYP curriculum framework.
• Develop unit plans, lesson plans, assessments, and differentiated learning materials aligned with MYP guidelines and the school’s academic goals.
• Use a range of formative and summative assessment tools to track, evaluate, and support student learning and progress.
• Provide meaningful and constructive feedback to students and maintain accurate assessment records.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes inquiry, collaboration, and conceptual understanding.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and support students at various ability levels.
• Collaborate with the MYP Coordinator, mathematics department, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coherent curriculum delivery.
• Participate in parent-teacher meetings, student conferences, and school-related events as required.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute actively to school-wide academic initiatives.
• Uphold the values and educational standards of OWIS and the IB community.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Mathematics (preferred) or a related field.
• Recognized teaching certification; IB MYP training or experience is an added advantage.
• 2–5 years of teaching experience, preferably in an international or IB school environment.
• Strong communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to inspire a passion for mathematics, logical reasoning, and critical thinking among students.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
