Job Title: Senior Java Developer Location: Chennai Experience: 3 to 5 years Job Type: Full-time Work Mode: Hybrid (Work 8 days a month from Office) Industry: FinTech (Online Payment Systems) Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Java Developer with 4–5 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable enterprise applications. You will play a critical role in end-to-end software development life cycles, working closely with cross-functional teams to build robust, efficient, and high-performance backend systems. The candidate must be willing to work in emerging technologies in the FinTech sector (online payment systems). Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test and maintain new and existing Java-based software modules for our banking and payment service provider customers worldwide Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code following industry best practices. Write reusable code that are optimized for high performance, robustness and scalability for mission-critical systems in both Cloud and on-premise environment Mentor junior developers and actively contribute to team growth. Resolve problems including bug fixing for the assigned systems Troubleshoot the reported problems/errors and coordinate with the testing team Technical Skills required for this position Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field. 3 to 5 Years of hands-on development experience in Core Java 8 or higher with strong proficiency in Spring/Spring Boot, RESTful API Development, Database Management Systems, JMS, Tomcat/JBoss, SVN/GitHub and Gradle/Maven Experience in leading and managing a small team of developers is mandatory Prior experience in Finance Domain (online payment systems) is desirable Other Skills required for this position Experience working in Agile/SCRUM environment Excellent team player with strong communication skills (in English) and interpersonal skills Should be willing to take initiative with a positive “can do” attitude Should be proactive and should have the ability to work and deliver under stiff deadlines Should have strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking skills Only candidates who meet the above requirements need to apply and can send their resume by email to hr.india@mvitech.com
