Dolby's research division is currently seeking a researcher to contribute to the development of the next generation of AI-based multimodal technologies. The candidate will collaborate with Dolby's renowned audio and vision experts to create new multimedia analysis, processing, and rendering technologies that will drive innovative interactive and immersive experiences. As part of an international team, the candidate will explore new horizons in multimodal processing, analysis, and interactivity. The role involves conducting fundamental research, transferring technology to product groups, and preparing patent applications. The ideal candidate for this role should possess a strong background in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and deep learning, with both conceptual understanding and practical experience. Keeping up to date with the latest literature, implementing, and innovating are essential aspects of this position. Knowledge or experience in areas such as human-computer interaction techniques, generative models, self-supervised learning, audio, image, or text applications, and latent space exploration are beneficial. The candidate will prototype inspiring experiences combining different modalities to enhance immersion and interaction, focusing on empirical refinement of the user experience. Experience in developing real-time applications delivering multi-modal experiences and human-computer interfaces with generative AI involvement is preferred. Responsibilities: - Prototype and showcase multimodal, interactive, and immersive user experiences. - Collaborate with domain experts to refine and execute Dolby's technical strategy in artificial intelligence and machine learning. - Utilize deep learning to develop new solutions and improve existing applications. - Drive the state-of-the-art and contribute to intellectual property development. - Transfer technology to product groups and draft patent applications. - Provide insights to internal leaders on recent deep learning advancements to influence research direction and business decisions. Requirements: - Ph.D. in computer science or related field, with a focus on deep learning. Knowledge in audio, video, 3D, or text processing is desirable. - Strong publication record, with publications in top machine learning conferences. - Proficiency in Python and popular deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch. - Ability to conceptualize new technologies and transform them into innovative products. - Creativity and strong communication skills.,
