The Music Teacher role at AIS is an opportunity for a passionate individual to inspire students" love for music and nurture their musical talents. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging music lessons that encompass theory, practical skills, and cultural appreciation. From designing age-appropriate lessons to organizing school concerts and mentoring students for competitions, the Music Teacher plays a crucial role in fostering creativity, collaboration, and discipline in the classroom. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement music lessons that cover theory, practical skills, and diverse genres. - Create customized lessons for students across different grade levels. - Teach both vocal and instrumental music, catering to individual skill levels. - Guide students to enhance their musical abilities. - Coordinate school concerts, recitals, and performances. - Mentor students for inter-school events. - Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment. - Evaluate student progress through assessments and provide feedback. - Collaborate with colleagues to integrate music into interdisciplinary projects. - Participate in professional development sessions and school events. Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Music Education or related field. - Previous teaching experience in a school environment. - Proficiency in vocal and instrumental music. - Ability to teach various musical styles and techniques. - Strong communication and organizational skills. - Creativity and enthusiasm for teaching.
