Job Description

As a valued member of our team working on the Murex upgrade project for a leading private bank in India, your primary responsibility will be to deploy and manage Murex Software required for client projects utilizing Murex tools and scripts. Your expertise in Murex configuration and environment management will be pivotal in ensuring the success of this significant upgrade from v3.1.38 to v3.1.6x. You will be instrumental in handling environment deployment, management operations, and performing basic smoke tests to guarantee the integrity of the products delivered. Additionally, you will act as the first level of support for any issues related to the deployed Murex products, collaborating closely with support teams to address and resolve them efficiently. Your role will also involve configuration management using Murex tools to import/export configuration items, applying configuration management methodologies, and executing database sanitization and purging procedures as necessary. Your expertise in scripting, SQL, Unix, XML, and RDBMS operations will be crucial in fulfilling these responsibilities effectively. To excel in this role, you must have a solid foundation with 8-10 years of relevant experience in Murex configuration and environment management. Your proficiency in scripting languages like Perl and awk, along with a deep understanding of Murex architecture and functionality, will be essential. You should have prior experience setting up Murex environments from scratch and be adept at handling environment management activities seamlessly. Furthermore, your involvement in project deliverables within your domain of expertise, coupled with your ability to analyze business requirements, write specifications, and perform configuration, testing, and validation tasks, will be highly valued. Your proactive approach to ensuring all tasks are completed according to agreed specifications and timelines will contribute significantly to the overall success of the project. While past experience with Murex Binary upgrade projects is considered a nice-to-have, your proficiency in English at an advanced level (C1) and your familiarity with Murex settings, parameters, and configurations will be beneficial in this role. Your commitment to excellence, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders will be key in driving the project towards successful completion.
