Description
You will be responsible for software and system design, development, performance, and power optimization of XR products utilizing Qualcomm's Industry leading SoC on Android and Linux platforms. Your role will involve analyzing and decomposing complex software systems, collaborating with others, and influencing the overall design. You must be fully hands-on in your approach. The Qualcomm XR software team is seeking experienced software engineers to work on next-generation XR products that will shape future immersive experiences, enhance productivity, and contribute to building devices that play a key role in the Metaverse. XR encompasses Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), and mixed reality (MR). As part of the XR software team, you will be involved in the design, optimization, integration, testing, and commercialization of Qualcomm's XR solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of various technologies such as Inertial sensor processing, Camera Processing, Computer Vision, Graphics, Video Encode and Decode, Display Processing, and Wireless Technologies. To qualify for this position, you should have at least 3 years of hands-on experience in designing and developing multimedia software in domains such as Virtual/Augmented Reality, Camera, Graphics, Video, Display, or Computer Vision at the Drivers, Middleware, or Frameworks level. Proficiency in C/C++ programming is essential. Experience in embedded multimedia product development for Android Smartphones, Network-based Video, or Camera products is highly desirable. You must also have practical experience with the internals of Linux and Android. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering or a related discipline from a reputable institution is required. Candidates with additional qualifications such as software development experience on heterogeneous/multi-core architectures, direct experience in XR product development, or previous work on Qualcomm Snapdragon platforms will be preferred. However, candidates with apps and gaming development experience are least preferred for this role.,
