Multi Physics Research Scientist

You will be responsible for performing physics and multi-physics modeling in the areas of ionizing-radiation transport, thermal, mechanical, and electricity and magnetism modeling to support the development of novel cancer therapy systems. Your key responsibilities will include: - Independently developing novel approaches to solving computational problems. - Performing complex modeling simulations. - Contributing to innovative designs utilizing your modeling, programming, and computational skills. - Working with a cross-functional team of engineers and scientists to translate promising prototypes into products while leading technical/clinical risk retirement. - Providing technical expertise and support for projects with internal and external collaborators. - Following guidelines of internal design controls and change controls processes. In order to qualify for this role, you must have the following qualifications: - Graduate degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. - Strong background in Modeling and Numerical Analysis. - Proven experience with simulation software packages such as Ansys, Comsol, INTEGRATED Engineering, and Simulia. - Ability to multi-task, work independently, prioritize, take initiative, and follow through. - Proficiency in C/C++/Python programming. Additionally, the following qualifications would be valued: - Ph.D. in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering (IITs and national labs preferred). - Experience in developing multi-physics models involving mechanical, thermal, electricity, and magnetism. - Experience in Monte Carlo Simulations. - Extensive experience using Matlab and Python.
