Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and skilled IT Manager to lead the planning, execution, and oversight of MUKTI’s digital initiatives and IT projects. The role requires coordination with internal teams and external vendors to develop impactful technology solutions that support organizational goals, improve stakeholder communication, and ensure seamless project delivery. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate internal teams and external vendors to ensure smooth execution and timely delivery of IT projects. Gather user requirements through discussions with stakeholders and prepare detailed requirement documentation. Analyse data and generate reports to support critical decision-making for the Board and operational teams. Manage and regularly update all MUKTI websites in coordination with fundraising, communications, and project teams. Provide marketing support for digital outreach of women empowerment initiatives and handicraft products. Oversee development of innovative tech solutions (e.g., mobile apps) via external developers to benefit grassroots stakeholders. Translate functional requirements to software development vendors and ensure clear understanding of project scope. Support the evaluation and selection of third-party vendors, including floating proposals and finalizing contracts. Act as the product specialist—test software, identify defects, and manage the bug resolution lifecycle. Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables with inputs from all relevant stakeholders. Develop and maintain detailed project plans to monitor progress and meet deadlines. Manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs using standard verification techniques. Track and measure project performance using appropriate tools and KPIs. Escalate issues and roadblocks to management in a timely manner. Build and maintain effective relationships with donors, field staff, and other stakeholders. Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation plans to minimize project risks. Foster and manage long-term partnerships with external vendors and service providers. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related field (B.Tech, B.Sc, M.Sc). Strong experience in project management methodologies and tools. Proficient in data analysis and reporting techniques. Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal. Proficient with Microsoft Office and general IT tools. Role Overview The IT Project Manager will be responsible for end-to-end management and delivery of Mukti’s Virtual Herbarium Project. This includes planning & execution of project, vendor coordination, stakeholder management (Multi-vendors platform), fund management oversight, risk mitigation, and ensuring timely delivery of digitization, AI/ML tools, GIS integration, mobile applications, training programs, and reporting. The position demands strong IT project management expertise, vendor contract handling, reporting discipline, and leadership skills to safeguard Mukti’s accountability and reputation. Key Responsibilities 1. Project Planning & Execution · Develop and monitor detailed project plans, timelines, and deliverables. · Ensure digitization of herbarium specimens and delivery of all software modules (DBMS, AI/ML, GIS, Mobile App) within agreed scope. · Coordinate AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) and ensure service continuity. 2. Vendor & Contract Management · Act as primary interface with software vendors. · Ensure back-to-back contract compliance so Software Vendors obligations mirror Mukti’s commitments to Sponsor. · Negotiate penalties, indemnities, and manage change requests (CRs) effectively. 3. Financial Accountability · Support Mukti’s finance team in fund flow management. · Track project budgets, vendor invoices, and ensure transparency for Sponsor and Mukti’s audits. · Flag risks of cost overruns or payment delays. 4. Stakeholder Coordination · Facilitate collaboration among Sponsor, Beneficiaries, and technical vendors. · Provide fortnightly project updates and coordinate review meetings. · Ensure hardware procurement, custody, and final transfer to beneficiaries. 5. Risk & Issue Resolution · Anticipate risks (financial, legal, operational, reputational) and develop mitigation plans. · Resolve issues related to data quality from stakeholder and ensure dependencies are addressed. · Manage cloud hosting continuity planning beyond initial funding. 6. Reporting & Compliance · Deliver timely and accurate progress, financial, and compliance reports to Sponsor and other stakeholders. · Ensure audits, closure documentation, and final system handover are properly executed. Qualifications & Experience 1. Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in IT/Computer Science/Project Management or related field. 2. 7–10 years of proven experience managing large-scale IT projects (preferably in NGO, GovTech, or system integration roles). 3. Strong knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC), vendor management, and cloud hosting. 4. Experience in contract management, AMC oversight, and risk management. 5. Familiarity with AI/ML, GIS, and database projects desirable. 6. PMP/Prince2/Agile certifications will be an advantage. Skills & Competencies 1. Excellent project management & leadership skills. 2.
