HR -Generalist Role : - Key Responsibilities 1. Recruitment & Staffing Manpower planning with department heads for staff, engineers, and shop-floor positions. Campus hiring for GETs/DETs, and local recruitment for skilled/unskilled workers. Screening, interviewing, and coordinating selection processes. Onboarding and induction programs for new employees. 2. Employee Engagement Conduct employee engagement activities, welfare programs, and suggestion schemes. 3. Training & Development Identify skill gaps for technical and behavioral training needs. Coordinate technical training in SMS, MBF, Rolling Mill, and allied plant areas. Implement training evaluation (Kirkpatrick Level 13). 4. Performance Management Support annual appraisal cycle, goal setting, and KPI/KRA tracking. Facilitate performance feedback discussions and improvement plans. 5. Time Office & Payroll Coordination Oversee attendance, leave management, and overtime control. Verify inputs for payroll processing in coordination with Accounts. 6. HR Data & Reporting Maintain HRIS records and generate MIS reports for management. Track attrition, absenteeism, and manpower cost. Skills & Competencies Good interpersonal and communication skills. Problem-solving and conflict resolution ability. MS Office & HRIS proficiency. Understanding of technical manufacturing processes for better workforce alignment. Qualifications & Experience Education: MBA/ MSW Experience: 510 years in HR within steel or heavy manufacturing plants or any other Manufacturing background experience.
