Job Description Position: Area Sales Manager Department: Sales & Business Development Location: Reports To: GM Role Summary- Area Sales Manager (ASM) is responsible for driving sales, managing channel partners, and expanding the customer base within the assigned area. This role focuses on promoting solar products and solutions—such as PV modules, inverters, rooftop EPC services, or BOS components—while ensuring sales targets and profitability goals are consistently achieved. Key Responsibilities Sales & Target Achievement Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets for the assigned area. Generate leads and convert them into active business opportunities. Conduct sales visits, customer meetings, and product presentations. Manage negotiation, pricing discussions, and deal closure. 2. Channel Partner Management· Identify, onboard, and manage channel partners: EPCs, installers, dealers, and distributors. Conduct training sessions for partners on product knowledge and sales strategy. Monitor partner performance and drive channel sales productivity. 3. Market Development· Expand presence in residential, C&I, small utility, or rooftop segments. Identify potential markets and build relationships with electricians, integrators, consultants, and builders. Track competitor activities, pricing, and market trends within the territory. 4. Customer Relationship Management· Build strong relationships with customers for repeat and referral business. Act as the point of contact for product inquiries, pricing, and delivery updates. Coordinate with internal teams for order processing, logistics, and service requirements. 5. Reporting & Administration· Maintain accurate records in CRM and submit daily/weekly/monthly reports. Ensure compliance with company pricing, credit, and documentation policies. Support regional marketing activities, exhibitions, roadshows, and dealer meets. Qualifications & Requirements: Education- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field. MBA is a plus. Experience· 3+ years of sales experience (solar industry preferred). Experience in channel sales or B2B sales highly desirable. Skills· Strong communication and negotiation skills. Good understanding of solar products (modules, inverters, EPC systems). Ability to generate leads and convert them into business. Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office. Willingness to travel frequently within the area.
