As a backend developer, you’ll ensure your code directly supports this end-user experience — through high performance, robust reliability, and airtight security. Responsibilities Develop and maintain backend applications using PHP (Laravel) . Design and optimize MySQL databases – schema, queries, indexing, performance tuning. Build and manage APIs for frontend and third-party integrations. Ensure application security, scalability, and reliability. Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve backend issues quickly. Be an integral part of the existing DEV team in our Srinagar office. Write clean, efficient, and scalable code aligned with best practices. Contribute ideas and think outside the box to improve product usability and performance. Ability to work effectively in a small team environment . Skills & Experience 2+ years of proven experience in backend development. Strong knowledge of PHP (Laravel framework ). Deep expertise in MySQL (database architecture, query optimization, performance). Experience with REST APIs and backend integrations. Understanding of security best practices (SQL injection, XSS, CSRF). Proficiency with Git and version control. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to be productive in a team environment. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Nice-to-Have (Optional) Experience with queues, caching (Redis, Memcached). Familiarity with Docker or deployment tools. Knowledge of unit testing (PHPUnit). Interest or experience with AI/ML APIs — understanding how to connect and integrate AI into real-world applications.
