Job Description

Job Title: Moulder Department: Foundry Reports to: Lead man mould lines Prepared by: Date: Approved by: Date: Employee: Date: Responsibility: (Short statement of job purpose & supervisory responsibility) Work Performed: (Numerical listing of specific duties and responsibilities.) Qualifications: (Education requirements, certification or licensing standards, experience & basic knowledge needs.) Produce moulds with correctly placed cores and good pouring bushes with correct clamping & weighting , that are ready for pouring Work with required PPE Work to ensure required production rate is being maintained Carry out the moulding processes deemed by SOP and process parameter sheets Inspect moulds to ensure they are good quality and capable of producing good castings Ensure moulds are vented correctly Inspect cores make sure they are good quality prior to placing cores in the mould Ensure pour cup and downsprue are in good condition without any loose sand Close the mould via mould manipulator Transport mould to pouring station and ensure correct clamping is carried out. Served Foundry apprenticeship minimum 4 years Have good knowledge of Foundry processes Have ability to carry out instructions from SOP & parameter sheets Must be good in spoken English Have the ability to record hourly performance
