We are currently hiring Safety Supervisors for our Cheyyar facility in the Tiruvannamalai District. The Safety Supervisor will ensure the safety of all employees on-site, monitor compliance with safety protocols, and assist in the implementation of safety programs and training. The ideal candidates will have a diploma in safety and a minimum of 1 year of experience in a safety supervision role. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the implementation and enforcement of safety procedures and policies at the worksite. Conduct daily inspections of work areas, equipment, and machinery to ensure compliance with safety standards and identify potential hazards. Assist in conducting safety audits, risk assessments, and developing corrective actions for identified issues. Investigate safety incidents and accidents, providing thorough reports and recommending measures to prevent recurrence. Ensure all workers are properly equipped with personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety guidelines. Conduct and assist in safety training sessions for new hires and current employees on safe practices, equipment handling, emergency procedures, and hazard identification. Maintain records of safety inspections, training activities, safety meetings, and incident reports. Lead safety meetings and safety awareness campaigns to keep employees informed and engaged in safety practices. Collaborate with other supervisors and safety engineers to ensure a proactive safety culture and resolve any safety concerns or issues. Coordinate and conduct emergency response drills (fire, first aid, etc.), and evaluate staff readiness. Stay up-to-date with safety regulations, best practices, and new safety technologies to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws. Qualifications & Requirements: Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a safety supervision role, preferably in the construction, transportation, or earthmoving sectors. Education: Diploma in Safety or equivalent qualification. Certifications: Any relevant safety certifications such as OSHA, NEBOSH, First Aid , or other safety-related qualifications are preferred. Strong understanding of safety regulations, hazard analysis, and risk management practices. Ability to perform site safety inspections, audits, and accident investigations. Excellent communication skills to effectively convey safety instructions and procedures. Ability to collaborate and lead teams in maintaining a safe working environment. Physical capability to perform site inspections in various weather conditions and work environments.
