Job Title: Trainee Psychologist Location : Work from Home (Online) / Hybrid in Pune Terms: 6 months (mutually decided work hours per week) About Us: Moon Therapy Café is an online mental health platform founded by Shubhangi Jagdev, a trauma-informed psychotherapist. MTC is registered on professional directories such as Practo and The Live Love Laugh Foundation. The mission of the organisation is to deliver evidence-based psychological interventions that are accessible, inclusive, trauma-informed, and structured around client-centered care. MTC is established as an in-person therapy space at Mangal Das Road, near Koregaon Park in Pune. About the Role: As a trainee Psychologist at Moon Therapy Café, you will be a part of a mental health organisation dedicated to providing client-centered psychological care. This role offers hands-on exposure to clinical practices in a digital setting under the guidance of a mental health professional. You will engage in research-based assignments, supervised clinical discussions and documentations, and content development, with the aim of deepening your understanding of therapeutic frameworks, ethical practice, and client engagement through therapy and content development in an online setting. Responsibilities: Weekly reflections on learnings, observations, and personal growth. Daily online tracker must be filled to keep a track of completed, ongoing, and incomplete tasks. Online pro-bono psychotherapy sessions under supervision, SOAP notes, case history taking, intake of clients, and administering basic screening tools with clients. 4 reels per month for instagram content. Designing carousels and posts on psycho-education of various topics related to mental health. 500 words blog post on unique topics (has to be evidence based research with in-text citations and references). The use of AI is not appreciated at all. Creating worksheets for clients in therapy such as worksheets on self-care, coping, grounding practices, etc. Creating presentation decks on trending topics (for example: impact of AI on mental health). Towards the end of the internship, the intern must create a presentation on their learnings of the 2 months (be creative with this - there are no rules), a folder with completed tasks, reflective journal entries, case reports, and all resources created by the intern. The intern will submit a self-assessment form and receive feedback on the internship, an internship certificate, and an experience letter from Moon Therapy Café. Candidate Requirements: Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Psychology in their third semester or completed a Master’s degree in Psychology (Clinical, Counselling, or Applied Psychology). Understanding of DSM 5 diagnostic criteria, therapeutic approaches, and psychological theories. Comfortable with social media and digital tools such as Canva, Video editing apps, and more. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to create basic psycho-educational content. Willingness to learn and receive feedback. Ability to meet deadlines and manage time. Prior internship in a mental health setting is preferred. Interest in digital mental health, psycho-education, and/ or community outreach. Familiarity with social media mental health content (Instagram, Medium, Facebook, LinkedIn). Please Note: This is an unpaid internship in association with DhairyaDa who will be providing supervision for interns. There will be a peer supervision fees of 4,000 INR + GST for supervision per month which will be directly given to DhairyaDa. MTC is not receiving or asking for any internship fees.
