As an Academic Coordinator for the Primary Section, you play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective delivery of the curriculum, enhancing the quality of teaching, and supporting the academic development of students. Your responsibilities encompass coordinating with teachers, staff, and parents to create a positive and effective learning environment. You will be involved in curriculum development and implementation, assisting in planning and executing the primary school curriculum in accordance with the school's educational philosophy and standards. It will be your duty to ensure that the curriculum aligns with educational standards and policies, as well as oversee the preparation and distribution of educational materials and resources. Supporting and guiding teachers in lesson planning, instructional strategies, and the use of educational technology will be part of your role. You will facilitate professional development opportunities and training sessions for primary teachers, while also evaluating teaching methods and classroom management to provide constructive feedback. Overseeing the assessment process and monitoring student progress will be crucial. You will analyze student performance data, identify areas for improvement, and collaborate with teachers to implement strategies to address these areas. Additionally, you will work with teachers to develop individualized education plans for students. Acting as a liaison between parents and the school, you will address concerns and facilitate communication regarding academic progress and development. You will organize and participate in parent-teacher meetings, workshops, and events aimed at increasing parental involvement. Your administrative duties will include assisting in scheduling classes, exams, and academic events, maintaining accurate academic records, and ensuring compliance with educational policies and regulations. Contributing to school improvement plans and leading initiatives to enhance teaching practices, student engagement, and academic performance will also be part of your responsibilities. Supporting extracurricular activities and other school programs, participating in faculty meetings, and staying updated on educational trends and innovations in primary education are also expected. To qualify for this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Education or NTT (Master's degree preferred), teaching certification or relevant qualifications in primary education, at least 8 years of teaching experience with some leadership experience, a strong understanding of primary school curriculum, and excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
