Modeler / Checker

As a Tekla Modeler / Checker with 3+ years of experience, you will be responsible for modeling main structural steel elements in Tekla under the guidance of the Main Steel Lead. Your role will involve ensuring accuracy and adherence to ASIC standards. Key responsibilities include: - Create and maintain accurate main steel models according to drawings. - Ensure fabrication drawings and model outputs meet ASIC standards. - Coordinate with the Senior Lead for task assignments and progress tracking. - Assist junior modelers in resolving modeling challenges. - Identify discrepancies and suggest improvements to reduce errors. In your role as a Checker, your key responsibilities will include: - Performing comprehensive checking of structural steel models, drawings, and connection details with a high level of accuracy. - Reviewing and verifying all components of the Tekla model, including assemblies, connections, piece marks, material specifications, and shop drawings. - Ensuring compliance with industry standards, project specifications, building codes, and fabrication requirements. - Coordinating with detailers, modelers, project managers, and engineers to resolve any discrepancies and improve model quality. - Identifying errors, inconsistencies, and constructability issues, and providing clear corrective guidance. - Performing quality assurance checks throughout project milestones to maintain accuracy and consistency. - Assisting in developing and refining checking procedures and best practices. - Mentoring junior checkers and detailers when needed. - Maintaining quality control throughout all phases of detailing and model development. - Must perform point-to-point checking. - Coordinating with detailers, modelers, engineers, and project managers to resolve issues.
