Department: Automation & Controls Reporting To: Project Manager Role Objective To design, develop, test, and implement PLC & HMI programs using Mitsubishi and Siemens platforms , ensuring successful automation and integration of Special Purpose Machines (SPMs), Vision Inspection Systems, and IVD Manufacturing Machines. Key Responsibilities PLC & HMI Programming Develop and debug PLC programs (Mitsubishi GX Works, Siemens TIA Portal/Step7) . Design HMI screens (Mitsubishi GOT, Siemens WinCC) for machine control and monitoring. Configure servo drives, inverters, sensors, safety circuits, and industrial networks . Testing & Troubleshooting Conduct machine trials and debugging during assembly. Resolve automation issues related to logic, I/O wiring, or communication. Optimize machine performance, cycle time, and safety interlocks. Integration & Commissioning Integrate PLC with pneumatic/electrical/mechanical systems . Work with vision inspection systems for data exchange and machine control . Support during FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and on-site commissioning at customer location . Documentation & Training Prepare I/O list, wiring diagrams, and control documentation . Provide user manuals and training to operators and maintenance teams. Required Skills Proficiency in Mitsubishi GX Works, GOT HMI , and Siemens TIA Portal/WinCC . Knowledge of servo drives, VFDs, sensors, PLC communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, Profinet) . Understanding of electrical drawings, panel wiring, and control systems . Strong problem-solving and debugging mindset. Qualification & Experience Education: Diploma / B.E. in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Automation. Experience: 13 years in PLC & HMI programming for industrial machines. Freshers with strong hands-on PLC project exposure (Mitsubishi/Siemens) may also apply. Key Attributes Analytical and logical programming approach. Willingness to travel for installation & commissioning at client sites. Team player with ability to coordinate with mechanical & design teams. Passion for learning and upgrading skills in automation.
