Key Responsibilities: Implementation and enforcement of safety policies, procedures, and regulations on construction sites. Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards. Carry on accident/incident investigations, preparing reports, and implementing corrective actions. Coordinate and conduct safety training sessions for site personnel, including toolbox talks, inductions, and refresher courses. Maintain and update safety documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, and safety plans. Ensuring personal protective equipment (PPE) is used correctly and regularly monitor its availability and condition. Collaborate with site management to promote a safe work environment and suggest improvements. Stay informed on local, state, and national safety regulations to ensure compliance. Participate in safety meetings and support the preparation of reports and presentations. Required Qualifications: Educational Background: Diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field. Experience: 5-7 years of experience in safety-related roles, preferably in the construction industry. Knowledge of Safety Standards: Familiarity with national safety regulations and construction safety guidelines (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001). Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey safety instructions clearly. Attention to Detail: Ability to identify potential safety hazards and recommend solutions. Preferred Qualifications: Certifications: Relevant safety certifications such as ADIS, NEBOSH, OSHA 30-Hour, or Construction Safety Certification Scheme (CSCS). Technical Skills: Proficiency in safety software for tracking incidents and managing safety documentation. Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to group objectives.
