Microsoft SCCM/MECM

We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Microsoft SCCM/MECM Specialist to join our team, supporting a large-scale retail enterprise environment. This is a critical role requiring 10+ years of hands-on experience in designing, deploying, and managing complex SCCM/MECM infrastructures. You will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient and secure management of our endpoint devices, including software distribution, patch management, and operating system deployments. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented individual with strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills. Key Responsibilities: SCCM/MECM Environment Management: Design, deploy, and standardize medium to large-scale SCCM/MECM environments (single to multi-tier sites). Manage Inventory, Software Distribution, Patch Management, and Image Management using SCCM/MECM. Install, configure, and troubleshoot Distribution Points and other SCCM/MECM infrastructure components. Manage Client Health across environments and provide escalated support to L2 teams. Troubleshoot SCCM/MECM logs (client/server side) to resolve deployment and configuration issues. Plan and administer comprehensive Patch Management lifecycles and implement Security Patch Management and Windows Update strategies. Deployment & Imaging Expertise: Develop and maintain custom deployment scripts (VBScript, Batch, PowerShell) for automation and compliance. Create, import, and manage Applications and Packages within SCCM/MECM. Build and troubleshoot Operating System Deployment (OSD) Task Sequences, including: WIM creation and capture Application deployment at build time UDI splash screen design Hardware driver import User State Migration (USMT) Coordinate application packaging, testing, and release processes. Reporting & Compliance: Create SCCM/MECM canned reports, SSRS dashboards, and custom SQL queries for inventory and compliance tracking. Collaboration & Support: Support Mobile Device Management (MDM) integration where applicable. Provide timely documentation, status updates, and end-user support as needed. Coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams for planning and solution design. Required Skills & Experience: Total Years of Experience: 10+ years Relevant Years of Experience: 10+ years in Microsoft SCCM/MECM Mandatory Technical Skills: Deep knowledge and hands-on experience with Microsoft SCCM/MECM. Strong understanding of Windows 10/11 imaging technologies and imaging engines. Expertise in Application creation and deployment, OSD imaging and task sequencing. Proficiency in Client health management and troubleshooting. Extensive experience with SCCM/MECM logs, SQL queries, and reporting. Strong scripting skills (VBScript, Batch, PowerShell). Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to handle escalated incidents efficiently. Soft Skills: Strong communication and documentation skills. Proactive, detail-oriented, and a strong team player. Ability to lead initiatives when required. Desired/Secondary Skills: Experience with Intune or other MDM platforms. ITIL or Microsoft certification in SCCM or Endpoint Configuration Manager. Experience in retail or large-scale enterprise environments.
