Metal Building Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a talented and motivated Metal Building Engineer who can focus on producing precise, accurate, and comprehensive shop drawings and related documents to ensure the proper fabrication and erection of building components. Experience: Fresher or 1 year of experience Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with AutoCAD Strong technical knowledge about the PEB (Pre-Engineering Building) Roles & Responsibilities: Create detailed shop drawings for the fabrication and erection of PEB components using relevant applications. Prepare precise fabrication drawings for primary members (e.g., columns, rafters) and secondary members (e.g., purlins, girts, bracings). Generate assembly drawings, connection details, and erection plans for on-site construction. Ensure all detailing adheres to design engineer specifications and complies with relevant building codes. Identify and resolve clashes or discrepancies between structural, architectural, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) drawings. Follow detailing standards (e.g., AISC, MBMA, IS codes) to maintain accuracy and consistency. Produce a Bill of Materials (BOM) for procurement, including quantities of materials, bolts, and fasteners. Utilize detailing software such as AutoCAD and other steel detailing tools for modelling and generating drawings.
