Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Dispatch Executive located in Jainpur, Akbarpur Kanpur Dehat. The Dispatch Executive will be responsible for overseeing daily dispatch operations, ensuring on-time delivery, and making Sales Invoice with E-way Bill and E Invoices. The role includes managing dispatch staff, coordinating with drivers, and handling any dispatch-related issues. The Executive will also work closely with the customer service team to ensure client satisfaction and address any concerns promptly. With manufacturing units across India and an annual production of over 90 million cans, our supply chain and logistics systems are the lifeline of our operations. We are looking for an experienced Logistics Manager to lead and optimise the entire logistics and transportation function across our network, reporting directly to the C-suite. Key Responsibilities (KRAs): 1.⁠ ⁠Freight & Transport Management Plan and manage transportation for inbound materials and outbound dispatches to internal units and clients across India. Build and maintain a robust, cost-effective transport network for drums, barrels, and cans. Manage contract and spot logistics partners (truckers, fleet operators, etc.) for timely and safe delivery. 2.⁠ ⁠Vendor Development & Negotiation Onboard and evaluate third-party logistics (3PL) vendors and freight service providers. Lead rate negotiations, ensuring competitive costs without compromising service quality. Draft and manage logistics contracts and service-level agreements. 3.⁠ ⁠Fleet Optimisation & Route Planning Oversee route planning, load optimisation, and real-time tracking for high-volume dispatches. Ensure reverse logistics and inter-plant transfers run efficiently. 4.⁠ ⁠Coordination with Internal Teams Work closely with Senior Operations Managers, Key Account Managers, and Plant Heads for accurate dispatch forecasting and delivery alignment. Synchronise transport availability with dispatch timelines. 5.⁠ ⁠Cost Control & Budgeting Track and reduce logistics costs per unit dispatched. Design and implement strategies for fuel cost savings, vehicle utilisation, and reduction in detention charges. 6.⁠ ⁠Regulatory Compliance & Safety Ensure adherence to road transport laws, vehicle documentation, and safety regulations. Lead documentation and systems for audit-readiness and compliance. 7.⁠ ⁠Technology & Tracking Systems Implement or manage TMS (Transport Management Systems) or GPS tracking for fleet visibility and accountability. Must-Have Qualifications & Experience: Minimum 6 years of proven experience in logistics and transportation management in India, preferably in industrial or manufacturing supply chains. Deep knowledge of freight rate benchmarking, regional transport dynamics, and logistics risk management. Must-Have Skills: Strong negotiation and vendor management abilities Excellent communication and coordination skills Proven track record in fleet cost optimisation Strategic planning and ability to act under pressure Reporting Structure: This role will report directly to the C-suite and work in close collaboration with: Senior Operations Managers Key Account Managers Plant Heads across manufacturing units
