Job Summary : The Electrical MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining electrical systems within building projects. The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring compliance with local codes and regulations, and managing the electrical components of MEP systems in both commercial and residential settings. Key Responsibilities : Design and Planning : Develop electrical designs, layouts, and systems for MEP projects. Ensure all electrical systems meet the required codes and standards (local regulations, NFPA, NEC, etc.). Conduct load calculations and system analysis. Design electrical distribution systems, including panel boards, transformers, switchboards, and breakers. System Installation : Oversee the installation of electrical systems, ensuring they meet the design specifications. Supervise contractors and on-site personnel during construction, installation, and commissioning phases. Coordinate the integration of electrical systems with mechanical and plumbing components. Documentation & Reporting : Prepare technical drawings, schematics, and specifications for electrical systems. Document and maintain records of electrical system designs, calculations, and installation processes. Generate reports on system performance and operational status, ensuring compliance with all regulations. Testing and Commissioning : Conduct tests on electrical systems and components to ensure functionality and safety. Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform corrective actions as needed. Ensure systems are commissioned and handed over to the client in good working condition. Project Management : Provide technical support during the design and construction phases. Work closely with architects, mechanical engineers, and contractors to coordinate design and installation efforts. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources. Health and Safety : Enforce strict adherence to safety standards in the design and installation of electrical systems. Ensure that electrical systems comply with OSHA and other safety regulations. Identify potential hazards and mitigate risks associated with electrical systems. Maintenance & Troubleshooting : Offer post-installation maintenance support. Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in the completed systems. Provide ongoing technical support and advise on system upgrades or modifications. Sustainability and Energy Efficiency : Implement energy-efficient solutions within electrical systems, incorporating renewable energy sources where applicable. Promote sustainability in design, ensuring reduced environmental impact. Qualifications : Education : Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Experience : Minimum of15-20 years of experience in electrical engineering, particularly in MEP systems (commercial, residential, or industrial). Certifications : Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus. Note- Immediate joiner required Must have experience in Government Infra.
