BILLING ENGINEER Roles and Responsibility : Billing is the documentary aspect of the work done, through which payments will be made to the person concerned within the contract and accountable to finish the work. Incomplete billing will cause losses to the contractor or the client. Hence, bills are to be excellent and obvious at any stage of the work. Bills from the work sites are to be prepared in a standard printed format. Billing engineers maintain and balance the income generation and advancement of any project at the sites by observing the work from the workplace itself. Billing engineer plays a very important role with the budgeting records of a project throughout execution. The most important role of a billing engineer is to create every kind of bill like R.A bill, Advance bill, cash bill, and final bill. He must know estimation and costing, BBS (Bar Bending Schedule), Rate analysis, Labour and machinery analysis which enables him to carry out billing works at a different stage of construction with proper efficiency and accuracy. Prepare quantity sheet from onsite data & drawings. Prepare bill of quantities (BOQ) & bills with item rates from tender. Prepare & process subcontractor bills. To take the measurement from the site engineer. To get work done as per the protocol of the company. To follow up on the accounts department for payment. Review the quantities item listed. Checking and certification of bills and invoices from vendors and contractors. Checking measurements. Bill certification. Should be good in MS Excel and MS word. Preparing reconciliation statements. Analysis of construction material. Analysis of variation claims by contractors /vendors and closing of the same. Bill certification. Check bills raised by the contractor. This includes on-site verification of measurement & verification of rates with Tender. Checking and certification of bills and invoices from vendors, contractors. Checking measurements. Compile Tender Documents based on the requirements of the project. Construction supervision of civil interior works at the site, including safety, quality, and safety schedule. Contracts Administration and enforcement at the site. Coordination with own team to ensure smooth execution and handover of detailed information. Cost analysis. Data entry & analysis in ERP Software or SAP. Experience in ERP Software will be an advantage. Follow up with the billing person for timely submission of the RA Bill. Get the statements certified from the client. Capability to maintain quality in work, safety at the site, safety verifying Vendor bills, Client Co-ordination. Inspection and Verification of Works Measurements. It should be well conversant with the measurement mode as per IS Codes. Knowledge of Earthwork for Railway Bridge Work Must. Maintain all records of billing work Material Reconciliation Reports from Store. Monitoring of cost of major items daily. Periodic reconciliation of billing with estimated quantities fortnightly. Preparation of bill of quantities (BOQ). Preparation of Certifications. Preparation of daily labour progress reports Preparation of DPR BOQ Items, Critical Items, Revenue till date/for the month, billed & WIP. Prepare & process subcontractor bills. Prepare and submit client bills as per the BOQ. Prepare bill of quantities & bills with rates from Tender. Prepare Detailed Bill of Quantities/Pre-tender estimates. Prepare detailed Comparative Statements. Prepare measurement sheet from on-site data & drawings Prepare Preliminary Estimates at proposal stages. Preparing reconciliation statements. Preparing summary, abstract, advice-billing. Pre-qualification of Vendors. Quantity estimation. Rate Analysis, Bill Estimation, Costing. Reconciliation of contractor bills. Reconciliation of material. Review of bills of quantities and item lists. Review of Budget and Preparation of Projections for next Quarter Budget as per approved schedule in line with SOP. To prepare the sub contractors bill concerning the clients bill. To reconcile the quantities as per actual v/s consumption. To take the necessary measurement at the site as and required for the clients bill. Prepare & Issue proper debit note (if any) from a store for the subcontractors bill. To understand the bill of quantity as per the contract agreement Familiar with ERP software. Good in computer ed.g. MS Excel, MS word etc. Coordinating with the contractor & site engineer for joint site measurement verification. To follow up on the accounts department for payment. To measure the site engineer. To process it as per the protocol of the company. To support PM in billing & generating cost-related reports and documentation. Update on WIP Status, RA Bill/PV Bill movement & its Collection. Value engineering to achieve functionality, safety, speed of security, and quality at lower costs by evaluating different options. Processing the invoice as per terms and contracts. Weekly report on the status of Resources Material, P&M, and Manpower. Note:- We need Immediate joiner
