Member of Technical Staff - Sys - NSA

The successful candidate for the developer position at Wind River will be part of the Helix Virtualization Platform (HVP) & VxWorks development teams, focusing on the development, implementation, and certification of safety-critical features for Aerospace, Industrial, and Automotive customers. As a team lead, you will oversee a skilled development team throughout the software development life cycle, collaborating closely with product management and system architects to incorporate customer-requested features and enhancements. Additionally, you will work within the BSP Factory team to enhance BSPs and drivers for VxWorks/HVP on various platforms like Arm, IA, etc. Your contributions will play a crucial role in expanding Wind River's embedded software business on new System on Chips (SoCs). Key Responsibilities: - Design and implement Board Support Packages (BSP) to establish a unified architecture for OS and Hypervisor. - Assist in optimizing and delivering software support for HVP & VxWorks to drive growth in new embedded and enterprise markets. - Proactively suggest enhancements to features and processes. - Offer ideas for product enhancements and updates. - Collaborate efficiently with global software engineering teams. Core Competencies & Demonstrated Success: - Proficiency in embedded software development. - Self-motivated with a focus on customer needs. - Ability to develop product features aligning with customer specifications. - Strong verbal and written communication skills. - Capability to work effectively in a team environment. Qualifications: - BTech / MTech degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or similar technical field. - Familiarity with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS), preferably with internship experience in FreeRTOS, Zephyr, etc. - Knowledge of Linux Platform with a basic understanding of C++, C, and Linux skills. - Experience in developing low-level embedded OS functionalities like device drivers, board support packages, and board bring-up. - Understanding of software stacks written in C, C++, and expertise in embedded systems components (Processor, Memory, Peripherals, OS, Device Drivers, etc.). - Proficiency in software and drivers for peripherals, controllers, and services for ARM/Intel/PowerPC-based complex SOC Systems.,
