What You'll Do
- Deep Technical Skills: You need significant domain knowledge of the networking stack and proven experience in systems development, including IPv4/IPv6 protocols, API design, and distributed systems. Hands-on experience with Broadcom SDK and Linux kernel or device drivers is also required.
- Strong Algorithmic and Coding Abilities: The role demands strong problem-solving, debugging, and coding skills, with a proven ability to design, implement, and test product components.
- Extensive Industry Experience: You should have experience of development experience on a Linux or other *NIX platform and at least good working with remote teams at a product company.
- Academic Foundation: A Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering is a must.
- Collaborative and Self-Motivated: You must be a flexible, accountable, and self-motivated team player with excellent communication skills, capable of thriving in a globally distributed team.
What You Bring
- Full-Cycle Development: You'll handle everything from the initial architecture and design to development, release, and ongoing maintenance of the software.
- Requirements and Integration: The job requires analyzing and specifying software requirements. You'll also be responsible for integrating new features with the existing infrastructure and collaborating with other teams.
- Architectural Contribution: A key part of the role is to actively contribute to the architectural evolution and future direction of the FlashBlade Networking product.
- Hands-on Coding: You'll spend significant time designing, coding, and debugging systems. The primary languages used are C and Python.
- Documentation and Support: A final point is the need to support, maintain, and properly document the software functionality you develop to ensure its long-term viability.
